Laugh Track....

CBS' "Late Show" aired a rerun on Friday.

NBC's Jay Leno: "Boy, it is hard to believe just two weeks ago people in Washington were making jokes about shutting down the government in Libya. … How many are upset about the idea of a government shutdown? They haven't officially shut down yet, so we don't know what is going on. But if it does shut down, Washington says they will also close museums, monuments, as well as parks, like the Grand Canyon. I mean, how do you close the Grand Canyon? Do you fill in the hole? … If the government shuts down, senior citizens will still get their Social Security checks, but no one will be around to answer their questions about benefits. So it'll be pretty much business as usual. So nothing changes really. … House Speaker John Boehner says Congress shouldn't get paid if the government shuts down. Hey, if the government shuts down, we should get a refund for each day they're not working. Isn't that how it should go? If your cable goes down, you get a refund. … It's now being reported Charlie Sheen is planning to get a vasectomy. That explains his new catch phrase, 'Snipping, snipping.'… Of course, the hard part for the doctors: Trying to find a drug that Charlie hasn't built up an immunity to. I think this will be the first time Charlie has been around nurses who are really nurses and not porn stars. … The Bravo network has cancelled the show 'Real Housewives of Washington, D.C.' Finally, a government shutdown we can feel good about. … According to TMZ, Lindsay Lohan is in final talks to play John Gotti's daughter, Victoria, in a new movie. A perfect role for Lindsay. She'll be able to draw upon her rich personal experience growing up in a crime family herself" ("The Tonight Show," NBC, 4/8).
