The Mountain West Conference kicked off its spring meetings yesterday in Phoenix, where officials "will discuss a deregulated" football championship game that "matches the league's two 'best' teams in order to enhance its standing" in the CFP. The "soonest the MWC format could be changed" is for the '16 season (CBSSPORTS.com, 5/2).
