IndyCar Officials Set To Rule On Controversial Race Outcome

IndyCar officials today will decide whether driver Oriol Servia "has been named the winner" of the Aug. 14 Izod IndyCar Series MoveThatBlock.com Indy 225 instead of Ryan Hunter-Reay. Three teams presented evidence at yesterday's four-hour hearing at the Ice Miller law firm in Indianapolis. The race ended shortly after a controversial restart on a wet track (INDIANAPOLIS STAR, 8/24).

Meanwhile, Mouser Electronics has agreed to sponsor Chinese driver Ho-Pin Tung in Sunday's Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma. Ho-Pin will drive the No. 88 Honda. This marks Mouser's third sponsorship this year of a Sam Schmidt Motorsports car in an Izod IndyCar Series race (Mouser).
