Square lands 10-year deal to run payments at SoFi Stadium

Digital payments company Square has been awarded a 10-year partnership as the exclusive point-of-sale, payments, software and merchant services provider for SoFi Stadium. “Approximately 300 of the stadium’s more than 1,000 Square devices will be handhelds,” said a Square spokesperson. “In addition to being used for in-seat concessions, Square is also enabling SoFi Stadium to create food and merchandise pop-ups throughout the site, since it's so flexible to move around and quickly set up, and all the data and transactions integrate with the rest of the stadium's systems and analytics.” The partnership also makes Square the exclusive point-of-sale and merchant services partner throughout the 300-acre Hollywood Park site. Square has e-commerce partnerships with the Nationals, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, four NBA arenas, Speedway Motorsports, Spectrum Concessions’ three PGA Tour events, Levy and Legends. Legends, which brokered the $30M-per-year stadium-naming rights deal and runs the venue’s concessions, catering and merchandise sales, helped secure the partnership.
