Former Liverpool CEO Peter Moore Joining Developer Unity Software

Former Liverpool CEO PETER MOORE has "joined video game development platform and technology firm Unity Software" as its new Senior VP & GM of Sports & Live Entertainment, according to James Fudge of THE ESPORTS OBSERVER. It is "unclear just exactly what Moore will be doing at Unity" because the company has "yet to make a formal announcement." Moore yesterday "broke the news via social media." Moore is a "seasoned video game executive," who prior to joining the EPL club, spent nearly 20 years in exec roles at Sega, Microsoft and EA Sports. Moore left EA Sports in '17 to take on the role of CEO of Liverpool. He left the club in Aug. '20 after his three-year contract ended. Moore "will join some of his old colleagues from the video games industry," most notably former EA CEO and current Unity CEO JOHN RICCITIELLO. In Sept. '20, Unity "completed an initial public offering and began trading on the New York Stock Exchange" (ESPORTSOBSERVER.com, 1/21).
