New Patriots Book Gives Inside Look At NFL's Modern-Day Dynasty

Author Jeff Benedict's latest book, "The Dynasty," will be released in September and "will offer an 'inside account' of how the Patriots built a modern-day dynasty" under Owner Robert Kraft, coach Bill Belichick and QB Tom Brady, according to Darren Hartwell of NBCSPORTSBOSTON.com. Benedict was "granted 'exclusive access' to the Patriots" beginning in '18, and he "interviews over 200 people for the book." The work apparently will "focus on the complicated relationship between Kraft, Belichick and Brady." Benedict "hardly is the first author to write about the Patriots' dynasty," but his book is the "first of this genre since Brady's shocking decision to leave the Patriots after 20 seasons" and sign with the Buccaneers in free agency (NBCSPORTSBOSTON.com, 5/20).
