Roddick and Manning, despite being investors, have barely been in marketing materials seen so farSWEETENS COVE

Peyton Manning, Andy Roddick and Jim Nantz are among around 40 investors in Sweetens Cove Tennessee Bourbon Whiskey, which is set to be released next week at “around $200 per bottle … for Tennessee residents only,” according to Cassandra Stephenson of the Nashville TENNESSEAN. It will “roll out to retailers in the Nashville, Chattanooga and Knoxville areas in the coming months.” Sweetens Cove Spirits plans to “expand to retail, bar and restaurant locations in Georgia after the brand's limited debut in Tennessee, and the whiskey will eventually be available on national online platforms that ship to various states, though supply will be limited.” The investors also are working to reserve the “first 20 bottles from the first barrel to donate to various charities” (Nashville TENNESSEAN, 5/20). ESQUIRE’s Aaron Goldfarb noted Manning and Roddick are “barely in the marketing materials” seen so far. Primary investor Mark Rivers said, “This was never a vanity product, a celebrity product” (ESQUIRE.com, 5/20).
