NFL Giants Making Contingency Plans If Training Camp Relocated

The Giants will continue to conduct meetings via Zoom as they await guidance on what to do beyond May 17GETTY IMAGES

The NFL Giants are "preparing contingency plans of their own for a scenario where the team is forced to relocate training camp from the Quest Diagnostics Training Center in East Rutherford to a remote location in another state," according to Zack Rosenblatt of the Newark STAR-LEDGER. The logistics of that possibility are "complicated, making it unlikely at this stage, but it's something the Giants are at least looking into as they continue to conduct business remotely and away from their facility." Giants coach Joe Judge said that the preference is to "have training camp at the Giants' facility, but the team is still awaiting guidance on what to do beyond May 17." Until that date, the Giants "will continue to conduct meetings via Zoom." Judge yesterday said the Giants' operations department is looking "around the country" for a viable alternative training camp venue. Judge: "We're planning for a lot of hypotheticals to make sure if they come up, we're not caught by surprise" (Newark STAR-LEDGER, 5/13).
