NHL Kings Offering Refund, Credit Options For Season-Ticket Holders

The NHL Kings have "begun offering refunds to season-ticket holders," according to Jack Harris of the L.A. TIMES. The team in a memo to ticket holders this week "offered several refund and crediting options for its seven remaining home games that were postponed." A Kings spokesperson said that fans can get "full refunds, payments that will begin being processed as soon as possible." Those who get their tickets renewed for the '20-21 season "can use their credits from this year, plus a 10% bonus." Under one renewal plan, any games that are "affected next season -- either canceled or played in front of no fans -- also will receive a 5% bonus." Another plan "will allow fans to defer payments until October after an initial deposit" (L.A. TIMES, 5/13).

BLUES SETTING THEIR POLICY: Blues President & CEO of Business Operations Chris Zimmerman said the team has been "working with our season-ticket holders" on a ticket policy for postponed games, and they have "a couple of options" for refunds or credits. In St. Louis, Jim Thomas notes fans can "apply money spent for the six home games left on the schedule when play was suspended March 12 as a credit to tickets next season." Zimmerman: "That can take place effective immediately and impact any future payments. Or they can reach back to our staff members and get a refund if necessary" (ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH, 5/13).
