Warriors Investor Stevens To Return To Roles When Season Ends

Warriors investor Mark Stevens once this season ends "will return to his full, active status as a Warriors stakeholder and will return to the team's executive board," according to Tim Kawakami of THE ATHLETIC. Stevens was "suspended for this entire season, fined $500,000 and not allowed to attend games or team functions" after he shoved and screamed at Raptors G Kyle Lowry in Game 3 of last season's NBA Finals. Steven's percentage was "never bought out and he was never in line to be kicked out of the ownership group." All indications are that Warriors co-Owner Joe Lacob is "insistent Stevens, who owns somewhere between 2 to 10 percent of the team, had a momentary awful lapse in judgement and has paid the penalty and served the suspension without complaint." Stevens had no role with the team this season and was "banned from the Chase Center for any team activity" (THEATHLETIC.com, 5/10).
