Complexity Gaming, U.S. Army To Cross Promote As Part Of New Deal

Complexity Gaming and the U.S. Army today will announce a partnership that will see the sides cross promote and hold joint activities between soldiers and the team’s players/staff. The multifaceted program, terms of which were not revealed, is designed to introduce soldiers to competitive gaming and give them an outlet to relax while also putting Complexity’s gamers through physical fitness training by the Army. The deal starts with an initiative today through Sunday where Complexity gamers will go through a boot camp at Fort Bliss in El Paso, where they will be subjected to military-style drills. The players will also compete in some video games with the soldiers and give out merchandise. The second phase of the program will be later this month, when a group of soldiers will go to the Cowboys-owned Complexity’s new GameStop Performance Center at The Star in Frisco. The soldiers will work with Complexity’s staff to develop gaming and cognitive skills. The initiative will be part of the U.S. Army Installation Management Command’s Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) division to integrate esports into its Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS) program.
