Klement's Sausage Quickly Signs With Bucks After Brewers Deal Ends

Klement's will work with the Bucks' chef to create a new sausage for the arenaKLEMENT'S

The Bucks have signed a "five-year deal" with Milwaukee-based Klement's Sausage to replace Usinger's Famous Sausage as the official sausage supplier of the team, according to James Nelson of the MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL. Usinger's signed a three-year deal in '14, but before that, Klement's had the Bucks deal for "at least a decade." It is another "win" for Klement's after the Brewers "ended their sponsorship with the company after 25 years" and signed with Johnsonville. Klement's President & CEO Tom Danneker said that the company "recovered quickly from the shock of losing the Brewers deal and saw new opportunities." Danneker said the Brewers deal was a "huge investment," so losing the baseball tie-up "gave us the resources to do a bunch [of] other things." Klement's will also sponsor "'Milwaukee Mondays' during games" at the team's new arena, which will highlight local musicians and artists, while the Klement's name will "be on three main and two portable concession stands." Klement's will work with Bucks Exec Chef Ken Hardiman to "create a new sausage that will be available only at the new arena" (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 4/11).
