USA Today Participating In Hospitality Venture With QuintEvents

USA Today is lending its name to a hospitality venture though an agreement between the USA Today Sports Group and QuintEvents. Under the arrangement, USA Today will use assets within Gannett’s media properties to sell packages for top-shelf sports events, including the Super Bowl and Kentucky Derby. For example, a hyperlink in a story about horse racing could take a reader to information about packages to the Kentucky Derby. USA Today Sports Media Group Senior VP/Leagues & Properties Merrill Squires said the target group is both b-to-b and consumer. “The demand is there and they [Quint] though we could reach audiences they can’t and vice versa," Squires said. The site is live at USATodaySportsEvents.com and is selling Super Bowl packages, priced from $3099-11,799, along with Pro Bowl, Super Bowl, and NBA All-Star Game.
