Jets Upset Darnold's "Ghost" Comment Aired During "MNF"

The Jets are "ticked off" about one of QB Sam Darnold's comments being aired as part of the "MNF" Mic'd Up segment during last night's loss to the Patriots. Darnold during his five-turnover night "admitted that he was 'seeing ghosts.'" Jets coach Adam Gase today said, "That was one of those things that was really disappointing to hear about after the game. I don't know if I've ever seen that where somebody that was mic'd up was basically ... a comment like that was allowed to be aired. It bothers me. It bothers the organization." An on-site NFL Films rep cleared the comment to be used, but some NFL Films officials are reportedly "not pleased that their on-site rep gave the green light to allow ESPN to air the comment" (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 10/22).
