World Pro Ski Tour Making Stops In New Hampshire, Maine In '18

The relaunched World Pro Ski Tour has announced two stops for its '18 season after running a pilot event earlier this year. The tour, which features head-to-head slalom races rather than the standard model of one-by-one runs for time, will start with the White Mountain Dual Challenge at Waterville Valley in N.H. and conclude with the Visit Maine Pro Ski Championship at Sunday River, Maine, on March 29-31. Organizers are trying to schedule a third event, but no location is secured.

Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Greenhead Lobster and the Maine Office of Tourism are secured as sponsors. CBS Sports Network will air the events. The Tour is an attempt to re-establish a similar property that thrived in the '80s and '90s, but organizers face a challenge in avoiding scheduling conflicts with the Olympics and the FIS World Cup tour.
