Endeavor vets lead new Allied division

Allied Sports is opening a corporate consulting division and has hired five people from Endeavor (formerly IMG) Consulting to start and staff the new unit.

Heading Allied’s nascent corporate consulting practice is Shawn Morrissey, a 19-year veteran of IMG/Endeavor’s corporate consulting practice. Morrissey will be based in New York City and direct the new unit as executive vice president of corporate consulting, reporting to Allied Sports Managing Director Sean Barror.

Capabilities of the new division include sponsorship evaluation, negotiation and activation. Morrissey said it was too early to reveal any clients for the unit.

Among those joining Allied from Endeavor are former SBJ Forty Under 40 honoree Kevin McSherry, who will serve as senior vice president and head of strategic planning and be based out of the agency’s Los Angeles office. Three others coming over from Endeavor who will be based in New York are: TJ Lynch, who headed the Kia account for Endeavor and will oversee client services as senior vice president of partnership marketing; Caitlin Gonzalez, who will be senior vice president of consulting operations; and Jeroen van den Bergh, who will be senior vice president of corporate development.

Allied Sports, launched in 2018, is a subsidiary of entertainment marketing firm Allied Global Marketing and is headed by Barror, another former Endeavor employee.
