Basketball

The National Basketball Players Association named CLARENCE NESBITT general counsel.

 

The Miami Heat announced that Vice President of Player Personnel CHET KAMMERER will reduce his role and become senior adviser of basketball operations/basketball, and promoted ADAM SIMON to vice president of player personnel and assistant general manager.

 

The Milwaukee Bucks promoted KELLY KAUFFMAN to chief human capital officer.

 

The Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Lynx hired JENNIFER RIDGEWAY as vice president of social responsibility. Ridgeway was executive vice president and chief advancement officer for The Sanneh Foundation.

 

Colleges

The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics named Georgetown University Athletic Director LEE REED president for the 2018-19 academic year.

 

The Patriot League promoted JIMMY JOHNSON to assistant commissioner for multimedia.

 

The University of Arkansas promoted JULIE CROMER PEOPLES to deputy athletic director for external engagement and administration; JON FAGG to deputy athletic director for student-athlete experience; CLAYTON HAMILTON to deputy athletic director for internal engagement, finance and capital projects; CHRIS POHL to senior associate athletic director for guest experience and event management; KEVIN TRAINOR to senior associate athletic director for public relations; FELECIA SAINE to associate athletic director for academics; AARON PARRIS to associate athletic director for premium seat services and guest experience; JULIE CAIN to assistant athletic director for event management; WILL LANDRETH to assistant athletic director for compliance; ANDREW ROBERTS to assistant athletic director for finance and reporting; and HEATHER ENGLAND to director of premium seat services. The University of Arkansas at Little Rock hired MAGGIE STRANGE as an athletic academic coordinator. Strange was a student development specialist at Texas State University.

 

Auburn University hired EVIN BECK as associate athletic director for external relations. Brock was assistant athletic director for development at the University of Georgia.

 

DePaul University hired RYAN GREBNER as assistant director of sports medicine, ALEJANDRO TREVINO as assistant director of athletic communications and ROGER UY as assistant director of marketing and community outreach.

 

The University of Detroit Mercy promoted CHRIS ROSSI to business manager, and hired STANLEY WILLARD JR. as director of athletic marketing and promotions. Willard was external relations coordinator at Centre College.

 

Eastern Michigan University hired RICKY ZUM MALLEN as assistant athletic director of marketing. Zum Mallen was associate director of marketing at Temple University.

 

The U.S. Naval Academy hired MICHAEL PAULUS as senior associate athletic director for development. Paulus was assistant athletic director for development at the University of Mississippi.

 

Oakland University named STEVEN WATERFIELD athletic director. Waterfield was executive associate athletic director at the University of Nebraska.

 

Rider University hired MATT MASTRIANNI as associate director of major gifts for athletics. Mastrianni was major gifts officer at The College of New Jersey.

 

Stetson University hired MADDIE MASSA as assistant director of athletics marketing and promotions.

 

Facilities
