Scottish FA, Queen's Park Expect Hampden Deal To Go Through

The Scottish FA and Scottish League Two side Queen's Park are "relaxed" about negotiations around the game's governing body's purchase of Hampden, and "fully expect" the deal to be signed off on schedule by June '20, according to Graeme McGarry of the HERALD SCOTLAND. Reports suggested that there was "a danger the SFA's deal to buy the national stadium could collapse," with issues such as Glasgow City Council's "refusal to waive a floating charge" unless it had a say in how the stadium was run, and a disagreement between Queen's Park and the SFA over when the club would move to Lesser Hampden, "leaving discussions at an impasse." But sources close to the talks between the SFA and Queen’s Park insist they are not "concerned about missing an informal deadline" of Dec. '18 to conclude those negotiations, and both parties fully expect the £5M ($6.5M) sale to go ahead as planned (HERALD SCOTLAND, 2/1).
