Tottenham Opens East Stand To 1,000 Fans For Super Bowl Party

Tottenham took a "significant step" toward moving into its new stadium after opening the East Stand to supporters for the first time on Sunday night, according to Sami Mokbel of the London DAILY MAIL. Around 1,000 people were invited to the familiarization event "where the Super Bowl was streamed on the big screens." It was the first time Tottenham opened the doors to the new East Stand, with the NFL event "providing the club with an opportunity to test that part of the stadium." Spurs also "opened one of the plushest lounges in the East Stand to the guests for the night." The screening of the game between the New England Patriots and L.A. Rams is "not classed as an official test event." Nevertheless, the Super Bowl showing "provides another clear indication that Spurs are finally ready to open the new White Hart Lane after months of delays" (DAILY MAIL, 2/4).
