Media Notes: Aussie Viewership Down 30% For Australia-India Test

Poor performances from the Australian cricket team against India combined with Foxtel's push into digital streaming "dragged on the ratings" for Seven West Media's debut season as free-to-air broadcaster for the summer game. Rating figures from OzTam reveal the metropolitan audience was down 30% compared to previous tests on free-to-air. Overall figures including regional viewers and the Foxtel broadcast showed the total audience was down more than 15% compared to last year's test and the last time India toured four years ago (THE AGE, 1/8).

STATS announced a multi-year agreement with KeySports Management to provide advacned football analytics through STATS Tier 6+ data. KeySports is a full service management company representing some of the top athletes in U.K. and European football (STATS). 

Volkswagen Audi signed its first sponsorship deal with a Chinese streaming platform, Panda TV. The deal includes title sponsorship of Panda TV’s esports show, "Marvelous Esports," all relevant video content and social media. Financial terms were not disclosed. "Marvelous Esports" will feature Panda TV's top streamers and esports players from Newbee, Team WE and Invictus Gaming as well as several non-endemic Chinese celebrities (THE ESPORTS OBSERVER, 1/8).
