The "appetite to watch NFL action in London continues to grow," with demand for tickets to games in the capital up 40% in '18. The Seattle Seahawks’ 27-3 victory over the Oakland Raiders at Wembley on Sunday marked the NFL’s return to the city, the first of three games being played in London this season. The Tennessee Titans will take on the L.A. Chargers this weekend before the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Jacksonville Jaguars on Oct. 28 (London EVENING STANDARD, 10/17).

The first test rugby match between the Kangaroos and Tonga will be played in a sold-out Mt. Smart Stadium. The capacity for Mt. Smart Stadium is around 25,600. NRL CEO Todd Greenberg said, "The level of interest in this game has been staggering so it will be great to see the house full sign up outside Mt. Smart Stadium this Saturday" (NEW ZEALAND HERALD, 10/17).

Deloitte will sponsor the ESL Dutch Championship from the group stage through the finals, which will take place from Nov. 24-25 at the Bright Day tech festival in Vijfhuizen, The Netherlands. This marks Deloitte's "first foray into sponsorship." The ESL Dutch Championship includes tournaments for League of Legends and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The winning CS:GO team will continue on to the ESL Pro European Championship (THE ESPORTS OBSERVER, 10/16).

Middle Eastern esports tournament organizer Power League Gaming announced the PLG Grand Slam, a CS:GO event to be hosted in Abu Dhabi from Dec. 12-16. The tournament will feature 16 teams competing for a portion of a $100,000 prize pool, with eight teams receiving direct invites to the competition. The eight teams not directly invited will be determined by the PLG Open Qualifiers, a series of online qualifiers hosted on the FACEIT tournament platform, to be held from Oct. 26-Nov. 17 (THE ESPORTS OBSERVER, 10/16).
