Executive Transactions: Yeovil Town Ladies Name Gary Dawkins Chair

FA Women's Super League club Yeovil Town Ladies confirmed GARY DAWKINS will replace STEVE ALLINSON as chair. Dawkins is also the managing director of the club's main sponsors and will succeed Allinson, the club's chair since '14, "with immediate effect" (BBC, 10/16). ... The English Institute of Sport announced three appointments to the organization's board. MATT ROGAN and KEN VAN SOMEREN were confirmed as non-exec directors advising on information management and science & technical, respectively, taking over from CRAIG HUNTER and JO DOUST. Rogan is the chair of marketing agency Two Circles. Retired field hockey player and current UK Sport board member ANNIE PANTER also joined the EIS board (EIS). ... Turtle Entertainment, the operator of the ESL brand, welcomed THOMAS SCHMIDT to its board of directors as a non-exec member. Schmidt will provide advice on creating and delivering coverage and sponsorship solutions for ESL's esports leagues and tournaments (THE ESPORTS OBSERVER, 10/17).

COACHES/MANAGERS: Glamorgan County Cricket Club "parted company" with head coach ROBERT CROFT, "who leaves the Welsh county after three decades." The decision came after the team finished last in the County Championship, "having failed to qualify" for the T20 Blast quarterfinals. The club will also appoint a new director of cricket after CEO HUGH MORRIS "relinquished the dual role" (BBC, 10/16). ... League Championship side Brentford named THOMAS FRANK its head coach, replacing DEAN SMITH, who left for Aston Villa. The 45-year-old Dane "was previously an assistant head coach at Griffin Park, working under Smith for two years" (BBC, 10/16).
