Tottenham is "finally gearing up" for the opening of its new stadium after supporters were told their access cards and membership packs are being sent out, according to Matt Law of the London TELEGRAPH. The club is working toward a new opening date of Dec. 15 for its Premier League match against Burnley. Plans are "now in place to make sure season-ticket holders will be able to get in," as access cards that were originally meant to be sent out in August are being distributed. It is the first major sign that Tottenham is "seriously preparing for the opening of the stadium," which could cost over £1B ($1.3B), before Christmas. Planning is underway to "try to hold two test events at the stadium at the end of November," following discussions between Tottenham Chair Daniel Levy and contractor Mace (TELEGRAPH, 10/11).
