HKS Architects Designs New Stadium For Liga MX Side Léon

The stadium is expected to open in '24.CLUB LÉON

New details and renderings are out for a new football stadium and accompanying entertainment district development for Liga MX side Léon. HKS Architects is designing the 35,000-seat, 400-suite new stadium for the Mexican club. Plans also call for a 160-room hotel as well as retail space adjacent to the new stadium. HKS also designed AT&T Stadium for the NFL Dallas Cowboys. Grupo Pachuca -- which owns Léon, Pachuca and other Latin American football teams -- is building the new stadium along with the state government of Guanajuato. The stadium is slated to open in '24. Léon is Mexico's seventh-largest metro area with a population of 1.77 million. The city is 230 miles northwest of Mexico City and 138 miles east of Guadalajara.
