Executive Transactions

Agent JAY DANZI is leaving Lagardère Sports "after nearly five years and will be taking prized client JORDAN SPIETH with him." Danzi had been "serving as COO of the Paris-based agency’s American operations" since Feb. '17. While it seems the parting is "amicable between Danzi and Lagardère, the departure could set off a series of moves behind the scenes" (GOLFWEEK, 3/20). ... Godolphin Racing Group CEO JOE OSBORNE, who was appointed to the position last summer, will "revert to his former role as head of the Irish operation." The CEO position "is being abolished." A managing director in each country where the company operates "will now report instead to a board of directors" (RACING POST, 3/20).

COACHES/MANAGERS: Former ManU defender JAAP STAM left League Championship side Reading "by mutual consent," the club announced. Stam leaves his post with the team 20th in the table, "just three points above the drop zone" (London MIRROR, 3/21). ... Former South Africa national rugby team coach HEYNEKE MEYER will take over at Top14 side Stade Francais next season after signing a two-year contract with the option of a further year. It is the first job for the 50-year-old since he quit as Springboks coach after the 2015 Rugby World Cup (REUTERS, 3/21).
