Barcelona Reaches Deal To Sign Brazilian Midfielder Arthur

Barcelona agreed to a purchase option with Brasileiro side Gremio for Brazilian midfielder Arthur "after talks took place in the Catalan city throughout the last week," according to Sam Marsden of ESPN.com. As part of the agreement, Barcelona said that it has "the right to sign Arthur in July for an upfront fee" of €30M ($36.9M) plus an additional €9M ($11M) in "potential add-ons" (ESPN.com, 3/11).

BACK TO BARCELONA?: In Barcelona, Polo & Torelló reported Neymar "has reportedly expressed a desire to return to Barcelona" since joining Paris St. Germain in August. His expressions of interest in returning to Barcelona "were made before his ankle injury and his team's elimination from the Champions League" after last week's loss to Real Madrid (MUNDO DEPORTIVO, 3/11).
