Poland’s Polsat "secured the rights to both the Champions and Europa Leagues for three seasons" from '18-19. It said that the rights "encompass a total of 1,029 matches, or 343 per season, and all methods of distribution, including TV, the internet and mobile devices." The matches will be shown only on Polsat channels, while the only digital platform to offer them will be Cyfrowy Polsat (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 6/27).
Ginx Esports TV is to launch on the Cellcom Israel OTT platform, "one of the newest players to the Israeli pay-TV market." Cellcom Israel, an Israeli communications group and the "biggest Israeli mobile phone operator," with 2.8 million subscribers, launched its IPTV service in '15. Ginx Esports TV is available in over 45 million homes across 80 countries (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 6/27).
Global fan-driven sports media business Minute Media announced the launch of its esports platform, DBLTAP. The platform features interactive, short-form esports video and editorial content along with tournament highlights and exclusive access through partnerships with ESL, E-League, DreamHack and Fnatic (Minute Media).
