Marketplace Roundup: Citroën, Lieferando Sign On As Partners For Relegation Games

The Bundesliga and 2nd Bundesliga relegation games "have added Apollo Tyres, Citroën, Lieferando and Orizon as new partners." The new sponsors join Sky, Bet-at-home, Targobank, Vodafone, Hörmann and Somfy as official partners of the games. The marketing rights for the four relegation games and the DFL (German Football League) Supercup have an estimated value of €2.5M ($2.7M) annually (SPONSORs, 5/28). ... Bundesliga side Borussia Mönchengladbach "has extended its deal with the Bitburger brewery for another seven years until the end of the '21-22 season." Bitburger, as a second-tier partner, "will continue to have exclusive pouring rights at the Borussia Park" (SPONSORs, 5/28). ... For the next four seasons, Spanish side Valencia CF jersey will display the logo of UN Women, the United Nations Commission that fights for equality and women's rights all over the world. It will be the first time that this UN organization collaborated with a professional sports side (Pitch). ... Puma announced a new partnership with the Cuban Olympic Committee that will see Cuban athletes wearing Puma apparel and footwear in the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto and the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio. This new collaboration with Cuban Athletics follows partnerships with Cuban Boxing and Volleyball federations, along with a multitude of athletes (Puma). ... Man City and Citi bank have announced a new sponsorship that will see the club join forces with the leading global bank. Through this multiyear agreement, Citi will become an official banking partner of Man City. The new relationship involves a joint collaboration with Man City Football Schools (Man City).
