Paraguayan Football Club Olimpia Cuts Player In Midst Of Fight With Cancer

Paraguayan football side Olimpia has terminated the contract of 29-year-old player Sebastián Ariosa, who announced in June that he was fighting cancer in his thorax, according to Dino Cappelli of MARCA. Typical "symptoms of this sickness are pain in the thorax, coughing with blood and difficulty breathing." Ariosa said, "They are hitting a person that is on the floor. They are leaving me without work. It is sad that they are doing this" (MARCA, 1/5).
