NFL Postpones Consumer Products Summit Due To Coronavirus

The NFL has postponed its annual Consumer Products Summit, scheduled for Tampa on Monday-Wednesday, due to the threat of coronavirus. More than 800 licensees, retailers, NFL league and team officials were schedule to attend. NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy said the league had heard from an increasing number of teams, retailers and licensees who would no longer travel, before deciding to pull the plug. A new date has not been established. The NFL in a statement to SBJ said, "The Summit's postponement is due to the increasing numbers of attendees that will no longer attend the summit because of their organization's travel restrictions. Options to reschedule the summit are being explored." Registration and booth fees will be refunded to exhibitors.
