William Hill Expands U.S. Business With New Sports Betting Deals

William Hill U.S. has "signed sports betting agreements with a dozen casinos in the U.S. and is in talks with more operators." The company's expansion announcement comes five days after GVC Holdings, "one of its largest competitors," signed a $200M joint venture with MGM Resorts Int'l. William Hill U.S. CEO Joe Asher said, "There is a lot of hiring going on. We are ramping up for a much bigger business" (LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL, 8/4). William Hill U.S. on Friday also "announced its expansion into West Virginia and Mississippi." The announcement "didn't specifically name where it would operate" in West Virginia, but it "did say it had reached an agreement with a 'casino partner.'" The new agreement also "includes 11 casinos in Mississippi" (WVMETRONEWS.com, 8/3).
