Leiweke Floats Idea Of Adding Roof For Toronto FC At BMO Field
MLSE is "looking at roof options" for Toronto FC's BMO Field at a cost of more than $100M. Company President & CEO Tim Leiweke made the news talking to team supporters yesterday. The city of Toronto owns the stadium, but Leiweke said MLSE agreed to pay for any renovations. Leiweke said that a "key issue is how to build a roof without having to have the MLS team move out during construction for a year.” He added that MLSE “is looking at a variety of designs, with a variety of cover” (CP, 9/28).
