Chiefs Fan Group Wears Black, Urges Team To Dismiss GM Pioli

At the Bengals-Chiefs game today at Arrowhead Stadium, “it could get a little ugly” as fans express frustration "with the downward direction of the franchise” under GM Scott Pioli. Fan organization Save Our Chiefs has for the third straight home game “hired an aircraft to fly a banner over Arrowhead.” The banner will read ‘Restore Hope ... Fire Pioli ... Save Our Chiefs.com.’” The group also has “organized what it is calling a ‘blackout’ and is encouraging fans to wear black instead of Chiefs red.” SaveOurChiefs.com has “about 70,000 followers on Twitter and 13,000 on Facebook lending their support." Tickets were “going for as low as" $5 for Sunday’s game on ticketing websites (K.C. STAR, 11/17).
