Former Coyotes Exec Ahron Cohen Joins Sports Tech Fund

Former Coyotes President & CEO Ahron Cohen has joined ADvantage Sports Tech Fund, an early-stage investment vehicle, as a venture partner. ADvantage is a global joint venture between Israeli investor OurCrowd and leAD Sports, a sports tech investment platform formed by descendants of Adidas founder Adi Dassler, including principal Alex Bente. “It’s an honor to be part of this fund and the legacy of Adi Dassler,” Cohen told THE DAILY.

Cohen, who also said he was attracted to ADvantage’s “international scope” and “shaping the future of sports,” will be tasked with leveraging his existing network to not only bring awareness to the fund but to raise capital. Additionally, he will source and evaluate prospective new deals globally across the fan-engagement and connected-athletics categories, while assisting portfolio companies and their respective leadership teams. Some of the existing companies within the ADvantage fund include L.A.-based mobile games developer GreenPark Sports and Tel Aviv-based sports analytics/tracking firm Track160.

Cohen worked at the Coyotes starting in ‘15 as COO and Chief Legal Officer before being named President & CEO in ‘18. He departed the Coyotes in mid-May last year.
