Excel Sports Promotes Former NBA Exec Emilio Collins To Partner

Excel Sports Management

Excel Sports Management has promoted Emilio Collins to partner. Excel said Collins will help direct strategic growth, while continuing to oversee sales and marketing for the agency. He joined the N.Y.-based sports management and marketing firm about four years ago after 16 years at the NBA, where he rose to Exec VP/Global Marketing Partnerships. At the same time, Excel Founder Jeff Schwartz, along with Casey Close and Mark Steinberg, will all be Managing Partners at Excel. Excel announced a minority equity stake sale to Shamrock Capital last month. Shamrock’s portfolio also includes investments in FanDuel, Learfield, and the Harlem Globetrotters.
