President Trump Likely Planning To Attend Daytona 500

President Trump appears to be planning to attend this Sunday's Daytona 500 in what would be the first time a sitting president has attended the event since '04. In an election year, Trump has attended several recent sporting events, including Army-Navy, the World Series and CFP championship. But his attendance at the 500 would still be notable and closely watched, and it would be sure to add significant logistical and security issues to the weekend. Other presidents to have attended the race are George W. Bush, George H.W. Bush and Ronald Reagan. Vice President Pence attended the Indianapolis 500 in '17.
