Kawhi Leonard Stars In Ad For Online Shopping Tool Honey

Honey, the online shopping tool recently acquired by PayPal for $4B, has launched its first celebrity ad featuring Clippers F Kawhi Leonard. The commercial debuted yesterday and will air nationally during Clippers-Celtics tomorrow. Honey being based in L.A. is part of what drew the brand to working with Leonard. Honey VP/Creative Chiyong Jones: “Kawhi may seem like an unexpected partner, but we have a shared mindset that saving money is for everyone. This first commercial is a nod to Kawhi’s simplistic style and just how easy it is to use Honey.” In the first spot, Leonard literally blocks shoppers from overpaying with the help of Honey’s browser extension, which allows shoppers to find the best deals by automatically applying promo codes and earning customers cash back.
