Braves Begin Removing SunTrust Park Signs, Await New Name

SunTrust Park signs "began to come down" yesterday, "starting with the blue-and-orange signage above the right-field gate, as the Braves prepare to put a new name" on the ballpark to reflect the newly merged Truist Bank. The sign that has been above the right-field gate was "hauled away in pieces after being removed." There remains "much more sign-removal work to be done." Braves CEO Derek Schiller has said that the team has "roughly 150 signs (containing the SunTrust Park name) that have to be changed out" (ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION, 1/9).
