NWHL Completes Funding Round Led By Andy Scurto

The NWHL has secured a new round of equity funding led by entrepreneur Andy Scurto, who joins a group of over 20 investors in the still developing women’s pro hockey league. Scurto is the Founder and former President of insurance software firm ISCS, which he sold in '17. His investment with his partners will be used to increase infrastructure and enhance player development, among other initiatives. Scurto said, “Having been very involved with youth hockey as my daughter has played for many years, I see the value sports has to offer, and I’m especially passionate about building women’s professional ice hockey.”

The round of funding comes two months after Cannon Capital Manager Partner Miles Arnone and a group of investors acquired the Boston Pride. Additional NWHL investors include MLB Rangers co-Owner Neil Leibman, former IMG Live CEO Lee Heffernan and former Devils co-Owner Michael Gilfillan.
