Arthur Blank's Foundation Pledges $6.8M To Int'l Aid Group
Falcons Owner Arthur Blank's Family Foundation today is expected to announce a donation of $6.8M to the aid group CARE in order to "fund efforts to avert humanitarian crises abroad and support a village savings program in Africa." The foundation has "helped numerous charities in Atlanta and elsewhere in the U.S. since its founding" in '95. The CARE grant is its "first large-scale international project." Also, Blank will serve as co-Chair of a new CARE committee in Atlanta that "will help the organization plan for the future" (AP, 11/14).
