WNBA Mystics Restrict Finals Ticket Sales To Regional Residents

The WNBA Washington Mystics "restricted their online ticket sales" for their home Finals games against the Connecticut Sun to "residents of the 'DMV,'" meaning DC, Maryland and Virginia. The 4,200-seat Entertainment & Sports Arena "was sold out" for Sunday's Game 1 and last night's Game 2. Dir of Corporate & Mystics Communications Ketsia Colimon said that this was the "first time the Mystics have done that for ticket sales." However, Monumental Sports & Entertainment has "enacted similar policies for its other pro teams," including the Capitals and Wizards. The Mystics "did provide a certain number of tickets" for Sun players' friends and family. The series shifts to Mohegan Sun Arena, tied 1-1 (ESPN.com, 10/1).
