Longtime NFL Reporter Don Banks Passes Away At 57

Longtime NFL reporter Don Banks died yesterday morning "after attending Hall of Fame ceremonies in Canton." Paramedics were "called to a hotel in North Canton, where Banks was found in his room unresponsive and pronounced dead." Banks, 57, "spent the past three seasons working for The Athletic-Boston, producing his wildly popular 'Snap Judgments' column and other NFL-focused content." He was recently hired by the Las Vegas Review-Journal to cover the NFL. Earlier in his career he spent 17 years as "part of Sports Illustrated’s NFL coverage team." His Review-Journal debut was yesterday with a look at HBO's "Hard Knocks" (LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL, 8/5).
