Patrick Mahomes Announces Foundation On "Tonight Show"

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes last night announced the launch of his new foundation, "15 and the Mahomies," during his appearance on NBC’s “The Tonight Show.” Mahomes said the charity is "designed all around kids: kids from either underserved communities that don't get the same opportunities that I had whenever I was young, or kids that are in the hospital that have chronic illnesses or have suffered major injuries. Those kids are the ones that train harder than me by 100 times every single day. I want to make sure I can give back to them in any shape and in any way in order to get them the resources that they need to have an amazing life” (“The Tonight Show,” NBC, 4/1).

Mahomes' agent, Leigh Steinberg, has said that the organization "would have an advisory board of leading political and business figures" in the K.C. area. Steinberg indicated that it would be "set up as a pass-through foundation that would raise money and make grants to organizations doing charitable work" (K.C. STAR, 4/2).
