Katie Ledecky, TYR Sport Ink Swimming's Most-Lucrative Deal

Gold Medal-winning U.S. swimmer Katie Ledecky has chosen TYR Sport as her swimwear sponsor, her first of presumably many endorsement deals heading into the '20 Games. Ledecky, who ended her NCAA career and went pro in April, is widely seen as the most marketable Olympian likely to compete in Tokyo. Terms are not known, but a joint statement claims it is the "most lucrative partnership in the history of the swim industry." “I am excited to partner with TYR as I take this important step in my career,” Ledecky said. “We share a vision of growing the sport for current and future generations of swimmers, and we will build towards that goal together."

TYR's other major swimmers have included Ryan Lochte, Dana Vollmer and Matt Grevers. TYR CEO Matt DiLorenzo said: “In having had the opportunity to watch Katie grow as an athlete, we could not be more impressed by her determination and humility both in and out of the water." Ledecky is repped by Wasserman.
