ESPN, MLB Rolling Out New PSAs Under Anti-Bullying Effort

MLB and ESPN today are debuting a new set of PSAs in their ongoing “Shred Hate” initiative to prevent bullying. Continuing a collaboration that began last year, the new spots will feature Twins CF Byron Buxton and Rangers P Cole Hamels, and another with White Sox SS Tim Anderson will debut later this month. Other ads with X Games athletes -- including skier Gus Kenworthy and skateboarder Jordyn Barratt -- have also been developed. The spots will appear on ESPN and MLB platforms throughout the year. The overall effort also includes a grant with S.F.-based nonprofit No Bully to support anti-bullying curriculum development and school assemblies in several markets.
