MLB, ESPN Expand Shred Hate Bullying Prevention Program To Three Markets

MLB has aligned with longtime media rights partner ESPN to expand the Shred Hate bullying prevention program. First introduced earlier this year along with ESPN’s X Games, Shred Hate will be deployed in schools in Chicago, DC and Minneapolis, also site of the ’18 X Games, and later expanded to other MLB markets. The effort also involves S.F.-based non-profit No Bully, and the Shred Hate program seeks to teach compassion and alternatives to student suspensions. MLB and ESPN have made a three-year commitment with an undisclosed monetary grant to aid No Bully in its curriculum development, including the inclusion of baseball-themed components into the program, and the pair will also promote Shred Hate through its various assets.

NBC Olympics’ Molly Solomon, ESPN’s P.K. Subban, the Masters and more
