ESPN's New "SNB" Booth Featuring A-Rod Set For TV Debut

ESPN's new "Sunday Night Baseball" broadcast team will call today's Yankees-Twins Spring Training game at 1:00pm ET on ESPN2. The Grapefruit League contest will mark the debut telecast of the group that features Alex Rodriguez and Jessica Mendoza as analysts alongside play-by-play commentator Matt Vasgersian and reporter Buster Olney (ESPN). Vasgersian said, "We're not going to be as cohesive on March 29 (Opening Day) as we hope to be in mid-June." He added that the "goal is to keep things casual and genuine." Vasgersian: "The more honesty, the more transparency, the better" (NEWSDAY, 3/21).
