Raiders, Las Vegas Authority Meet To Finalize Stadium Agreement

The Raiders and the Las Vegas Stadium Authority this morning are "expected to finalize an agreement to construct" the proposed $1.9B, 65,000-seat domed stadium that will house the NFL franchise beginning in '20. Applied Analysis Principal Jeremy Aguero, whose firm serves as the authority’s staff, said that all agreements and stadium-related documents are "up for possible action and are likely to be approved 'in form'" (LASVEGASSUN.com, 2/27). Aguero did caution that the “guaranteed maximum price" for the construction project "will not be ready" today. He said that price "will be forthcoming" before final approval in early April (LVSPORTSBIZ.com, 2/27).

Parking is "one of the issues expected to be discussed and potentially acted on" this morning, though that issue "isn’t as urgent because the Raiders have until September to present Clark County with a plan that includes acquired or leased land to be used for dedicated stadium parking on event days" (LASVEGASSUN.com, 2/28).
