AT&T Set To Extend USOC Sponsorship Through '16 Rio Games

AT&T today is expected to announce that it will extend its sponsorship of the USOC and Team USA through the '16 Rio de Janeiro Games. The deal continues a 30-year relationship between AT&T and the USOC. The four-year deal is valued at more than $15M and ensures that AT&T will retain its status as the Official Communications Sponsor of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams during the '14 Sochi and '16 Rio Games.

The deal gives the USOC its third major renewal this year. It also has renewed agreements with TD Ameritrade and Citi. The only other sponsor still up for renewal after last year is United airlines. Allstate was the only sponsor the USOC lost after the '12 London Games, but it replaced the company in the insurance category with Liberty Mutual.
