BofA Chicago Marathon Registration Suspended Due To Glitches
Registration for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon began yesterday but is now suspended until at least 5:00pm CT tomorrow "because of technical problems." Organizers said that "thousands of spots remain" for the Oct. 13 race (SUNTIMES.com, 2/19). Representatives for Active.com, which runs the registration site, said that workers are "in the process of refunding any improper charges." Registrants "began complaining on social media sites Tuesday afternoon about complications" (Illinois DAILY HERALD, 2/20).
